Has anyone heard any rumors about Ruger chambering their RSM rifle for 404 Jeffery? Hornady is going to produce the ammo and Hornady and Ruger seem to be in close harmony.

No rumors, but that would be a fun rifle to have.

In the mid-1990's Ruger actually listed 404 as available in the RSM....but they never brought it to fruition....maybe the second time is the charm? And, yes, it's a great round....I have a Heym bolt in 404 and love it.

That rumor has been around since they made the No 1 in .404, back during the last century. As I recall, the lack of standardized ammo (.423 vs .418) hamstrung the project. Maybe it will have better luck this time around.
