I have received some of the new HDS "H" .505 Gibbs cases, from Huntingtons. It mics up very consistantly, especially in regard to rim thickness. O.L. is also good and each case mouth is lightly beveled, in & out. It has a nice "ready-to-go" appearance, much like cases one might get from "Norma". I am optimistic that I have found what I've been in need of for my .505.
Thank Heavens for some 505 brass that hopefully has some consistency. I have a question about the data, you are using the Barnes 570 grain X bullet with the blue coating. Do you have a 506 bore or a 510 bore? Cast Preformance Bullets is in the process of making a 550 to 600 grain bullet sized to 507 with a big meplat.
Welcome to the Forum, Moose. I had Barnes draw down the uncoated .510"/570 grain "X" bullets for my .505 and then I molycoated them with the product from "Midway". The 600's were standard .505 Barnes Super Solids, also molycoated.
