I'm in the process of trying to make a LARGE 12ga slug mold.

I don't know why the pics don't show up sometimes?? But here's a link to it.

I was thinking that if I could find some 10ga brass that I might as well try to make a 10ga mold while I'm at it.

I picked up a short stick of 1x2" Aluminum. I cut a couple of pieces of at just over 2". I have the alignment pins put in and the blocks squared off in the mill. I've been makeing a couple of boreing bars to cut the lube grooves and nose profile. It should be able to mave the base plug up and down for different weight boolits.

Lar,
Any estimates on weight yet?
I have been looking for a hollow base slug to fire out of a half choked 10ga for a bit more oomph than the factory federals. So name your price if you decide to make two!

It should be adjustable from 750-2000 grains. Maybe in 200gn steps? I'll have to see how the first one turns out then we can talk from there. I've been talking with Dan at www.mountainmolds.com about this project. His CNC lathes would be much more accurate and repeatable then my Smithy with dial indicators.
