VFR110.75 on buff
Back from Moz and SA and pleased to report the little 10.75x68 performed beautifully using AFrames on impala, zebra and buff. My second shot on the buff was a custom turned monometal solid at 382grns. The softs were recovered. I can send pics of the recovered bullets if anyone is interested in this caliber. Bob

CCMDocCongratulations on a successful safari

At the moment I am not too interested in the caliber but I would definitely like to see pictures of the recovered bullets posted here.

VFR1I will try to set up an account and post the pics, but I am no Bill Gates. My grandson is better on computers than I am.

MileHighShooterExcellent! I have been waiting for your return and report on the 10.75! Glad it worked out well

vegard_dinoInteresting.
What 10.75 did you use? The *68?
Cheers all

VFR1The 400gr AFrames chronographed 2150fps. I did not chrono the solids. This is the 10.75x68. I will try to get the recovered bullets posted in the next day or so.

Since the solids are lighter in weight, you were getting at least the same velocities, I would think.
That's .404 Jeffery (a/k/a 10.75x73mm) speed.
Plenty enough for buff in the stuff.
Again, congrats on a job well done!

MileHighShooterThat's awesome you got up to 2150 with the 400's! Those are original 404 numbers, and they seemed to do just fine for quite a few years. Modern powders really give some git' up and go to the old cartridges. Heck modern 404 J numbers are what, closer to 2400fps with 400's now?

Paul, The grandson was too busy riding skate boards with his buds. If you could post the pics, I would appreciate it very much. Bob
