PSmithA-Square .577 T Rex
Well I was in Mark's Outdoor Sports in Birmingham yesterday buying some ammunition and I got to hold an A-Square .577 T-Rex rifle and also see the ammo.
Wow that's a heckuva lot of rifle. I thought the metal work was pretty nice really, the Enfield action was nicely ground and all. Nice sights.
The stock though, yikes! No checkering of course and it felt like holding a 4x4.
They didn't have a price on it yet.

I had the privilege to fire E. Hemingway's WR .577NE, E. Keith's WR .470NE, & F. Jamieson's WJJ .500 Jeffery
I strongly recommend avoidance of "The Zambezi Safari & Travel Co., Ltd." and "Pisces Sportfishing-Cabo San Lucas"

Paul, They're actually quite practical for a big bore nut. A 750gr bullet at 2,460 fps as loaded by A-Square is quite a handful for sure, but the same rifle at 13 lbs with 3 recoil reducers shooting a 750gr or even 650 gr bullet at 2,150 to 2,250 fps is quite an impressive beast, but quite shootable. I like mine!

RobgunbuilderI wonder if it's the one I just sold? Maybe the new owner actually fired it, dropped it and sold it at Cabellas. I wasnt impressed.-Rob

RobgunbuilderI wasn't unhappy to see it go to a new home. The fond memories of Art Alpin meant so much to me. I did get a unbelievable price for it though.-Rob
