bowhuntrrl.375-.416 Wildcat on 404 Jeffrey case??
Other than the Dakota calibers , are there any .375 to .416 caliber wildcats on a .404 Jeff case that are somewhere's in between a Taylor and .404 Jeffrey for length ?? What kind of velocities could be expected ?? Thanks.

jeffeossoDesigning a case on the 404 case today is cost INeffective, with the Rem UltraMag being a slightly larger case, and 1/4 the price of brass
2.55 brass, 3.35 oal, fits in standard length actions, cheap brass, more capacity (due to larger case) than the 416 rem, 458 lott, and 470 capstick.
I didn't "bother" with a 375, as there is the 38-55, 375 win, 9,3x73, 9,3x74, 375 whelan, 9,3x62, 376 steyr, 375 taylor, 375x300win, 9,3x64, 375 HH, 9,3x68, 375x68, 375 weatherby, 375 ackley, 375 dakota, 378 weatherby ... as things are a little crowded at about 366 to 375.
with that in mind, here's the Accurate Reloading Cartridges

rum brass, which is cheap cheap
this one will hit, with a 26" tube, over 2480 with 400 gr hornadies
the 458 will do 2350+ 21" barrel, hornady 500rn
the 470 will do the same with 500gr woodlieghs
think 9.5# loaded with a 416, add 3/4 for the 458 or 470.
my 550 express barely weighs 11

Idaho Sharpshooterthanks Jeffe for posting the drawings. I have been curious about the actual dimensions. You are right about RUM brass; hell for stout and lots of powder capacity. I have spoken with Remington about making a 458 or 465 RUM...no luck to date
thanks again.
