What do you guys consider fair pricing for a CZ-550? I called Sportsman's Warehouse and they quoted me $800 Eeker. Every other place has been giving me quotes of $950 to $1,100+ (this is for the American field grade).

What are you getting for the $800? If it is a bigbore then thats a very good deal especially for retail. Rodney.

I would buy it at Sportsmans Warehouse. Check gunbroker.com to see the prices, most will be $50 or higher that the one you quoted.

I'd get it at Sportsman's Warehouse, problem is I'm nowhere close to one. I just called them since it seems like lot's of people on AR buy from there.

Depends on the caliber and the amount of customizing. a bare-bones, no frills 416 Rigby goes for $899 in some places. A similar 375 H&H will go for $799. A Custom job: meaning crossbolts, fancy wood, bedded will run you $1200-1400.

A year and a half ago I paid $849- for a CZ 550 American magnum .458Lott bedded and cross-bolted at a Gander Mountain store on the Northwest side of Houston. In the last several months these rifles in .375H&H and up in caliber have gone up to as much as $950- retail. Rodney.

Six months ago I got a Safari Classic in 375 at Gander Mountain in Tyler Tx for $799. This was the American field grade but had much better than average wood.

The CZs in Gander here in NY have also gone up slightly. Most have sold, they had 20 January 2008 and are down to 5 now.
