I believe it is now 11.1%. How is the .416? Aleko

Aleko, Thanks for the note on the FET. Sure do appreciate it! The CZ .416 is doing GREAT! Have taken it out several times. The first "get acquainted" session was to verify basic accuracy and my loads. They are, admittedly, just a little light but a Barnes X 350 at 2600 fps is still very, very potent! Was grouping about 1" at 100 yards. Not bad for the first load out of the can. Second trip was to play with movers and to try some alloy slugs. The movers were GREAT fun. The Buf mover is set up so that it charges you. It's made of mining conveyer belt and was traced from a trophy returned from Zim (I think). There is a one gallon water bottle hung in the center of its life-sized chest. The impact of the 350's on the water jug at close range is VERY exciting. After finding that the alloy projectiles were not yet pushed by the right load, we finished the day shooting water jugs at 200 yards. Still one heck of a display even at that range. Looks like that load will be fine for plains game as 200 yards gave no perceptable difference in hold ... shooting very flat. Have done some further workups with the alloy slugs. 105 grs of 8700 is yielding about 1 1/2 - 2" at 100 yards and a velocity estimated at 1900-2000 fps. Good representative practice load for learning gun handling. All in all, I could not ask for a finer rifle. My range buddies are mumbling under their breaths about how I seem to get lucky with gun purchases. ;> ![]() Thank you again ... very much!
