How good is the RWS brass, Norma in small calibers seems to be good, but read reports that you will not get many reloads in large calibers.
Anyone have this experience?

The last lot of Norma brass I bought weighs very close to the last RWS brass I got (abt 220 grains). This was not true of previous lots of Norma brass (196-198 grains).

I have asked this question also and have not gotten an answer. I haven't fired the RWS brass and newer Norma enough to compare them yet. The old Norma brass did not last as well.

Haven't loaded any 9.3x74R in over 3 years so can't say what new brass is like. My experience is that Norma brass is thinner at the base than other brass. I was only getting 2 reloads from it in my Chapuis and Valmets. You would get a bright ring and that was it. I split a couple of cases and it was definitely thinner at that point when new. You could actually SEE the difference in the unfired case. Never had the problem with RWS or Sellier & Belloit. Never had access to any other brand. I had an 8x60RS double that I formed brass from 9.3x74R cutting and neck reaming and had the same problem with this round when made from Norma. That was the only problem I had loading this round.
