You're not kidding about the bedding! I pulled the stock off to look at the trigger adjustment and found the hot glue (?) in both the rear and forward recoil lug inlets with an 1/8" "string" of glue dribbled randomly in the stock area connecting them. I pulled the spilled (?) hot glue out with my fingers but left it in the recoil lug mortises.

Congrats to you on your new .375 H&H... It's got to be the most classic of all big-game cartridges and of course in the most classic of bolt-guns, the Win M70.
