Anyone have any experience with these folks? I am considering purchasing an Encore barrel from them in (gasp!!)470 Nitro Express. Also is it possible to install Mercury recoil reducers in an Encore stock. Thanks Steve

RobgunbuilderI would think that a .470NE on an Encore would be reasonably tolerable with just a good muzzel brake. That pistol grip and pachmeyer pad really soaks up recoil. I shot one a year ago in .416 Rigby ( with a brake I made for it) and found it pretty shootable.
I don't know anything about that company, but VV made some reasonable barrels before they went under.
You may need to consider some steel bedding of the stock to withstand the recoil in the long term.-Rob

jeffeossohope you mean an encore rifle

you'll need loads of weight... i have a 45/70 in my handirifle (crackhead bigbore) and it's rather, hmm, aburpt in recoil.
should do a "pillar" on the through hole for tightening down.
bed it all around, especially the forearm, so you can get it good and tight.
would like to hear how it goes
