Hi, I'm brand new to the forum and have a question that I'm hoping some folks on here know a lot about. I currently own a Remington 700 SPS SS 7mm rem mag that I purchased used in 1998. The rifle has a 26" barrel and is completely stock. I don't have any specs on what this rifle weighs but was wondering if there would be any noticeable difference in its weight compared to a 2009 production year SPS SS, CDL SF, or XCR SS in the same caliber? All of these models are listed at 7.625 pounds on Remington's website. In the 7mm rem mag caliber, are there any other model 700 options by Remington other than the LSS or the Alaskan Ti that would be lighter in weight than my current model? Is there any information out there that Remington might be looking at extending their new Trynite corrosion control system found on the XCR line to any of their other models in the near future? Thank you in advance for any information anybody can provide. | ||
