Was in at the Cave Creek Armory yesterday and they have two very nice Ruger No. 1 rifles in .450/.400 NE 3" for sale.

First one - Brand new and unfired in the box with rings, owner's manual, warranty registry papers, etc. Has nice unusually figured wood both sides of the butt stock, and 5 rounds of new Hornady brass. They are asking $999 for it, but I'm sure they must have at least a little room to deal on cash offers....they almost always do, in my experiences with them.

Second one, NRA excellent condition but has been fired. Original factory wood of VERY FANCY dark walnut both sides reminiscent of the 1967-68 Rugers, with rings and original box.

Original owner has had one of the super recoil absorbent pads professionally added to it. I think they are going to be asking the same for it when they put it out on the shelves this week because of the very fancy wood, but they may have a little more room to deal on it because of its having been fired, I don't know. Both guns are apparently consignment Rugers, from two different sellers, one of whom wants money to help him buy a double rifle, and the other of whom is in very ill health.

If you have any interest in either rifle, call Jeff at Cave Creek Armory, and tell him his friend "Lloyd" told you about it.
