I believe the correct pidgin English would be:

"Ven iss beink IZHMP221 .45/70 in Amerika?"

Of course, chances are good that their English is better than our Russian.

Man,
I hate teo sound like a jerk, but the pricing HAS been nailed down, please correct your post.

http://www.eaacorp.com/firearms/rifles/sidebyside/izhmp221t.shtml

the list is $629, in all calibers... and i bet they go for a premium for the first 6 months.

I can't WAIT to get my hands on one in 45/70... even if it means I burn the stocks WITH the recoil pad on, just to keep the sketers off while I make new stocks

Hubel from wat I've read and seen they will be around $550-700. I don't think they have the price nailed down just yet but it's supposed to be under $1000. I'm interested myself at wat they hit the shelves for.

No need to correct the post as you already have answered the question with yours. I was close with the numbers though

I donno Jeffe, I've got an IZH-43 and the quality of wood far exceeds the metal work Replacing the stock might be like putting perfume on a pig

I think figuring out how fix or tune the triggers on these will be of the utmost importance. The back trigger on mine has about a 1/2" of creep in it

Terry,

For 700 bucks, don't expect a Searcy. Should be a lot of fun changing bores on this one. Maybe a 45/110, if there is enough metal at the lockup.

As to their English compared to my Russian, Da.
