I just got this from Geoff McDonald which maybe of interest 50 cal shooters who want to bust up woodchucks or for Australians who need better results on pigs and big grasshoppers.....Mike

Dear Sir,

All our soft nose bullets have pure lead cores (99.9%) which makes it quite soft.

It is not necessary to thin the jacket or flat point them.

Just use our 440gr BP bullet, it has a very thin jacket. I have field tested them
from my 500 Nitro at 2100 fps and on pigs they mushroomed to over 1" in diameter
and flattened to look like a mushroom.

I do not know what would happen at velocity of 500 Jeffery is capable of.

Regards,

Geoff McDonald.
