I was looking through the Burris cataloge today and thought about putting their 2.75 scout on my Ruger #1 in .375. I like the magnification and the extra eye relief. What do you guys think? I know that the .375 probably deserves a little more magnification but I've always been partial to fixed power low magnification scopes. Less to worry about.

The Ruger N0.1 quarter rib scope base is set up for standard eye relief scopes. A scout scope is not too functional that close.
The standard Leupold 2.5 X M8 would be a much better choice. Or use the equivalent Burris if you prefer.
