Had a great time up at Hogkiller's place just south of Huntsville Saturday. It is always a good time to visit with fellow AR members and shoot each other's rifles.

This was a DWJ (Dangerous Water Jug) cull shoot.

Disclaimer:
All the water shot on this cull shoot was Native Texas Free Running Well Water. No imported exotic water was shot!

It scares me to think that some of those jugs took 3 & 4 hits with 375H&H+ rounds before they gave up.

Enjoyed it very much guys. beer

I good time was had by all. Thanks Keith for hosting us. I just hope that the PETA affiliate, People for the Ethical and Appropriate Treatment of Manmade Old Standardize Storage-Containers (PEAT MOSS) does not attempt to shut future shoots down.

Glad everyone had a good time, and that no one was gored or trampled by the DWJs. I must admit that I tried to induce a charge while armed with Bobc's Hollis 450-400. Both DWJs died very quickly, DRs are great.

Rusty, thanks for taking the pics and posting them on the thread. Glad you finaly made it to one of these shoots. thumb

MJines, your "little" Ruger Hawkeye in 375 Ruger, looks like a great "carrying" rifle, and shoots nice. Ruger has made some progress in the pad dept.(they are now soft), but they still need to be a bit thicker. BOOM

Mufasa, thanks for bringing some of the "jewels" out for use to oggle. Looking forward to dancing with the Lon Paul 505.

BobC, you may leave your Hollis here anytime, with ammo. clap

fla3006, Gringo C., Ramrod340, Hunting cat, and Invader66, as always a great time with great people.

The carnage was massive, the head count was high, it's a good thing we reload.

Keith

Fred, a DWJ safari can be booked. Season is nearly year round. I do not book in July - Mid Sept., except for the truely hardy types who can take the high heat. Not sure when the breeding season is but, they do multiply fast. As to bag limits, well as always that will depend on how thick your wallet is. To round things off in even numbers,(day fees(includes lodging & meals), trophy fees, dip and pack, pick up and drop off service @ Houston Int., and trophy shipping to your home).

Just figure on leaving your 450-400 here. jumping

Keith

Don't forget the beer allowance that's needed later.

Hey, that was fun yesterday. Quite an impressive table of firepower. Thanks, Hogkiller. I did check my case to make sure the Hollis got home! Bob

I hear that the Democrats are going to attach "DWJ hunting ban" to the next attempt to screw-over our troops.

Never fear "W" will Veto that one too! thumb
