I just had to tell everyone, I went by my Dewight Marshalls, my Gunsmith on my way to Houston on business and my mdl 70 classic in 300 ultramag came in. It feeds fired ultra mags real good, slick as snott, my guess it will feed 404's. What I thought was interesting was the follower, I'm sure some have seen them in the ultras but I hadnt. I should have took a pic for the guys that hadn't, very different. My PacNor barrel should be in a 6 weeks or so, should be fun.

What else was interesting was the trigger, had to be 8-9 pounds. But win triggers slick up pretty good.

It sounds like you are building the rifle I have. I went w/ a 23" #5 PacNor. The finished weight w/ 8oz merc. reducer is 9.2# unscoped. Mine not only feeds like silk, but on good days I am getting sub MOA groups w/ a VXIII 1.5x5. Keep us posted on the progress.
