What is the big deal here? What is the impetus to keep screwing around with a product that already works well?

Why would anybody want to use a bullet that may or may not damage their rifle when the world is full of perfectly good bullets that will not?

Is it just F**kitis? (using Greenhorns spelling [Big Grin] )

I am sorry for giving you a headache Mickey1. It was too much fun egging 500grains on, I just couldn't resist! I will stop it, promise.

Obviously my statement "FOLLOW THE BULLET USAGE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER OF YOU DOUBLE RIFLE" was total crap as 500grains has proven beyond doubt.

OK I will not drop it.

Maybe we should limit the topic to those who actually own or at least have shot rifles.

Too wide. I've done both, and read a lot to boot. So what? This is the 'net. There are enough people that actually KNOW something, from EXPERIENCE, that [dream] people with mere opinions should just clam up, unless it becomes apparent that there is no one with experience answering. [/dream]
