495 A2 or 500 A2
I like to get 2200 fp/s out with a 570 grains bullet, 2300 fp/s out with a 535 grains bullet and 2000 fp/s out with a 440 grains bullet below 50.000 CUP. The rifle to build on is a CZ 602.
Do I get more advantage from a 495 A-Square than a 500 A-Square due to less powder charge needed?
I think that it´s easier to reload a case that don´t have neck when it is a belted cartridge. Straight cartridges don´t stretch so much as those with a neck I think.

jeffeossoNo reason not to do the 500 a2 on a CZ... it's just a rebarrel, and the brass/dies are more available.
there's about .350" difference, and yes, you would have a tiny bit less recoil in the 495, about 2 #

fla3006If you plan to use the magnum-sized CZ 602 or 550 action, go with the 500. Use the 495 on a standard length action.

fritz454No question about it 500A2 is the only way to go. Jeffe gave the reasons plus you can always load it down if you want.
It is simply a more practical and useful case.
