Holland had a rifle in the field with a professional. Their report from a year ago was five ele bulls with six shots. I don't have any other details.

I have 465 H&H and have used it to take around a dozen buff and 5 elephants. It works very well and is a comfort when sharing thick jess with a herd of stroppy cow elephants. It doesn't have the penetration of my 458 Lott with 550 gr Woodleighs but had enough whomp to knock down a large bull elephant on a frontal brain shot that missed the brain. It was John Taylors favorite, that should be enough to satisfy most hunters.

Sorry! I misread Vapos post and thought he was speaking of the old round. I need to clean my glasses once in awhile. Based on what the old round has done for me I suspect that the "New" 465 should be even better if the bullets hold up to the added velocity. Except that it is a bolt gun caliber and not suitable for doubles.
