NaphtaliStainless steel barrel blanks .54- to .72-caliber?
I am asking about gunsmith-gun makers who maintain barrel blank inventories AND barrel makers. Who has cut-rifled stainless steel rifle barrel blanks in inventory between .54- and .72-caliber? The first barrel maker I think of who even manufactures such barrel blanks that comes to mind is Krieger. I'm confident there are others.
I'm not counting Obermeyer because of his age and that he is back ordered nearly a decade on his barrels.

RobgunbuilderBadger still does cut rifling I think but i doubt they keepthose bore sizes in inventory. Kreiger takes too long IMHO.-Rob

jeffeossono one has any, of that size barrels in stock, as inventory.
indeed, theres very few "in stock" barrels from the better makers. They are perpetually sold out, largely due to them being of the better barrel makers ..

mwm464I had Kreiger build and install a 24"SS .308WIN bull barrel last year on a Rem 700. I placed the order in January and it was completed in May. Quality was excellent. The rifle shoots quarter MOA.
That isn't Seeley Lake, MT. by chance?
I don't know a thing of barrels of that size, but my gunsmith orederd a 423 cal from Kreiger the 1st week of Sept 08 & just received it in the last week or two.

Is that because Krieger had to re-tool to .423" instead of .424"?
Last time I looked, Krieger advertised .424" groove diameter.
RIP, you are correct. The groove diameter is actually .424, I have no idea why it took so long.
