Look at this picture and tell me what is the purpose of the circular item on the side of this rifle:

I think I know from the description of the rifle, but have never seen one before.

Your correct. The description of the rifle describes it as a "Scott crystal cocking indicator".

I have a Hungarian 12guage SxS with indicators also has removable ejecters which is handy for trap .
