Not exactly a dinosaur killer, but an interesting cartridge in a Lee Speed. Basically an elongated .303 British blown out to .375.
I am currently building a Lee Speed style rifle in this calibre, and would like to know if anyone has one and could post some good clear pictures, or even of a .303B model ??
The good thing is , here in Australia, Bertram make brass for it, Woodleigh make excellent projectiles, a local stockmaker can reproduce the stock for me, Sprinter Arms the barrel profile and I already have the LSA action complete with dust cover and magazine cut-off.

Performance isn't bad, its better than the 375 Winchester and its got a loyal following.
I've always wanted to do a Lee in 35 Win or 405 Win.

Very nice cartridge. Shot my first ever red deer stag in 1978 with a double rifle in 375 2.5".

I took a Cogswell & Harrison double in the caliber to Africa several years ago. I had one shot kills on most everything I shot. I used old Speer 270 grain round nose bullets at 2000 fps or so and got good penetration and the bullets held up well.

Frank Beller now has the rifle and won't sell it back to me, alas!

Elmer Keith used it in a Lancaster double for elk hunting.

I'm doing much the same thing Roger ,I have a Lee Speed action ,a 375 barrel and a reamer ,still looking for some of the small things like sights . It will be put together when I next get down to Adelaide along with a 7x57 Gew98 .

There's a few laying around in this part of the world Bill , prior to the Lithgow factory being set up in 1913 or 14 the various state governments bought rifles for police and militia , some of these were marked Lee Speed ,they were in military configuration of course , you don't see to many sporters here. I picked one up for beer money a while back .
