We had our Hamilton Big Bore shoot last Sun. and all had a good time. We had the usual assortment of lever guns, 375 HH, 375 Ruger,416's, 458 WM, 458 Lott, 458 Ultra, 470 Nitro and a 600 OK. A new shooter brought a few (yes, plural) Brit. doubles and he knew how to use them. He was generous and let all of us pedestrian, bolt gun shooters play with them. We had paper targets for score, water jugs for speed and accuracy, charging water jugs, a team shoot, paper buffalo photo targets and a steel plate. The water buffalo photo targets from Norma/Safari Press were really fun. I misread the target shot by the small bore wielding guy from AHR but he kindly noted the error. Next time the buff targets will be on moving stands to liven things up a bit. Looking forward to the Boulder shoot on Sept. 6

Thanks for the shoot Dan, I had a great time. I know it's hard to score my targets when my bullet hole takes out the 7,8 and 9 ring in one shot.

Sent out a 475 Turnbull and 100 rnds of ammo to AHR for you all to shoot the heck out of in Montana next weekend. Have fun with it. Note: They they are loaded with Speer 400 grain bullets and the OAL length is a bit short. I like them to be 2.700" or longer. In a 71 they can cause cartridge flip, this guns seems to work them well but be advised. Doug I tend to use more than enough gun.
