Steady supply? Have you thought to contact Midway's or Graf's customer service departments to contract delivery of 20 or so every week? Perhaps 100 every week? I'm sure they could comply. For more than that quantity, dealing direct with one of Remington's distributors might be warranted.
Shortage? To fill out an order with Dillon Precision last week, I ordered 100 Starline 32 H&R unprimed brass. They were delivered in 3 days via USPS. Perhaps I was just lucky?

The 416 rem mag has always had a brass shortage. The wonderful excutives at remington pout it on themselves to discontue it when they feel like they are not making money on it.I use to pick it up for $138/500.I snatched up 8,000 pcs that way.I have 6 416 rem mags and I use to shoot way more than I do now (lack of primers and powder now.The nickle brass was the best nickle brass I ever reloaded. In the 338 wm I couldnt even get the primers in them. The 416 rem mag nickle took primers like slick glass.I HAVE TO BE THE BIGGEST FAN OF THE 416 REM MAG BUT NOW i AM A 416 RUGER FAN.There is a decient amount of 375 ruger brass. You can neck it up to 416 ruger easy and the guns and ammo are way cheaper than the 416 rem mag now.The last 416 rem mag ammo I saw in Ak was $140 a box the 416 ruger sells for $52 a box what gives. Its crappy remington trying to just rip us off.I love the 416 Rem mag but the next 416 I but will be a Ruger!!You can find a 416 Rem mag gun for under $1500 any more.I bought all of mine except the stainless Remington for all $600 each.I got the stainless remington for $1000 and they are $2300 now without a floorplate!!!
