First day on the site and looks like a good one! Wondering if anyone can help me out with a load for my 416 taylor using the Barnes 350gr TSX, I'm using a Ruger M77 with a short 20" Douglas Barrel. Using reformed 458 brass. My first load was with IMR 4320 70gr? (I dont have the data here in front of me) and WLRM primers and allthough there was only 1/4" variation in hieght the group was 4" in width. Brass showed no signs of pressure and measures .0005" larger than before firing. Anyhow before I build up the next batch to try thought you could Give me some Ideas on different powder and loads. I mainly have Imr powders (but do have some winchester and VVN135 but very little varitey of Hodg. H1000 which is to slow and some H380) But if you have a wonder powder for this cartridge I could probably order something I don't have. Thanks in advance,Kirk

I just bought some 350gr TSXs to try in my 416 Taylor, so I am interested in any feedback you get too! Cheers, Canuck

KSS I use an Aussie powder call AR2206H but I believe it is sold in the US under another name I load a 340g woodliegh with 74g of this powder for about 2640fps, thats in soft bertrum brass, case is full to the base of the projectile. If I use NORMA brass, they have thinner walls and more tin in the mix, I can safely get a bit more than a grain of powder in this case What I'm trying to say is that it does also depend on the cases your using regards S&F

If I am buying factory loads, then I buy these: http://www.doubletapammo.com/php/catalog/product_info.p...h=61&products_id=230 If I am reloading, then I use Reloader 15.

I started at 70.0gr and worked up to 74.0gr of RL15. I was able to get over 2500fps from my 24" tube.
