It will get you just a tad more than a 375 CT and at a lot more trouble...Basically its a necked up 300 Win mag, blown out cut back and what all...Never interrested me because of that, but someone who was really into dinking around with wildcats might enjoy all that extra stuff, I know I used to like doing it......but today I would opt for a 375 Taylor and just neck up a 338 or neck down a 458, but in reality I have a 375 h&h and find it perfect for me.

It is similar to the 375/338 but with a longer neck because it is made from 300 Win brass.

Imagine if the 300 Winchester had the shoulder pushed back a little bit so as to have a longer neck and then the resulting case was necked up to 375. Typical 375 bullets have the canelure positioned so that when seated in a 300 Win lenght case the loaded round will fit the standar 30/06 length magazine.

Some very fancy velocities were claimed for it in Wolfe publishing's wildcat book which takes articles from past issues of Handloaderr and Rifle magazines.

As Ray has said if the need is for a 375 that will fit straight into standard lenght actions then 375/338 is the way to go.
