Can someone tell me the length of the Barnes 500 gr banded solid in .458 cal. I want to load this bullet in 450 Watts AI and in 1895 Marlin. Anybody tried it in the 1895 in 45/70? | ||

1.519 inches If you want a solid in 45/70 for general work use the 330 gr Barnes Banded solid made for the 458 Socom--it is a fantastic little bullet and will do anything you need to do with a 45/70--it's 1.021 inches long. You are welcome. It is long, great for the 450 Watts, but very long for the 45/70. Try that 330 Barnes for that.
