Boomie - go lie down till this good idea goes away. You can't even pay for the equipment leases with what you'd make from
specialty actions. The simpliest there is was the old maddi griffin shell holder modified fir a rem 700 trigger. Even that is prohibitively expensive and doesn't command decent prices cause it has no bling. I had the same idea years ago and then reality set in. -Rob

Thats the inspiration for Bill Rugers No1. A class act.

Now would a custom big bore version sell enough to justify the effort?

It would be nice, if Ruger made a bigger (No2?) size. Even just enough to handle 470,500,577NE and like ctgs. Well, for that matter, it would be nice if the various 45 caliber No1 's were a little more shoulder friendly. Both points seem to get air time on the single shot forum.

No1 and No3 are the same size, different trim
those guns kick the snot out of me

you can already do a 577 NE on a ruger.. don't bother arguing, its been one

i am a big bore nut, and have ZERO interest in a single shot classic action.. lots of drop and bigbores means lots of FELT recoil
