I'm thinking about picking up a Ruger #1 in .458 win mag. There is a used one sitting at a local shot cheap. Fired only 5 times, i guess the original owner didn't like recoil.rotflmo I don't really want or need a .458 Win mag. However I really would like a rifle in one of the older British Nitro cartridges. I believe that are some easy rechamber/re-works that can be done on these but I can't remember what they are. If you guys have any thoughts or suggestions or have done it please let me know.

I have tried to search but I don't really get any results. Maybe I'm not usingthe right terms.

Thanks for any input you guys have.

I considered rechambering my Win mag to 450NE or 450 #2. It's possible but the Lott is the easiest conversion.

450 NE 3.25" or 450 NE No2. Both require the same kinda adjustments to the No 1. The 450 NE No2 is the larger and "more" impressive looking.
