More .500 Jeffery's??
In the lastest issue of Rifle Shooter mag, Terry Wieland quotes George Sandmann from Empire Rifles as saying that he makes more rifles in .500J than either .375 H&H or even .30-06!

Wow Eeker

I knew .500J was 'popular' but more popular than .375? I guess this is a function of being able to buy off the shelf .375's but not really commercial .500's (common or affordable as some .375's at least), so in terms customs options only, makes sense, but still....numbers seem high.

Would be interesting to see how many .416 Rem/Rig, .458 Lotts and .404's he makes in comparison!

Cheers

Howdy,
George Posts here, so you can ask him directly..

I've handled a couple at the shows,, nice work, good feeding, excellent quality/bang for the buck

he's willign to make DARN certain that any load you want ... if you spec 535, 570, or 600 he'll make it designed FOR that.. or if you want them all, he'll do that too.

I just wonder why every .500 Jeff would not be made to shoot all of the (normal) bullets made for it. In other words, why would one .500 Jeff go out the door feeding 535's but not 600's?
