Hello All, I have been coming to this site for about 2 years and finally decided to sign up. I really enjoy coming here reading all of the interesting posts. My question is, I am thinking about purchasing a Ruger 458 Lott and was wondering what are my choices for ammo besides Hornady if I am not a handloader? Thanks in advance

I know A-Square loads factory ammunition. Here's Midwayusa's site with Hornady and A-square. http://www.midwayusa.com/ebrowse.exe/browse?tabid=3&cat...ystring=653***690*** 500grains is on my ignore list for being who he is, which is not the type of person I like, want to be around, hear from or read anything he has to say, period.

I seem to recall from the SCI show, that Federal is planning on loading the .458 Lott sometime this year. I believe they will be using either Trophy Bonded BearClaws and SledgeHammer solids, or Barnes TSX and Banded Solids. Might want to contact them. http://www.federalcartridge.com or 1-800-322-2342. You may even find a gun store that will reload for you..Will be a heck of alot cheaper...I shoot the Ruger in 458Lott...Used it on buf and bull ele...It becomes addicting shooting the big bores...I really have no desire to shoot smaller rifles... I like Hornady 500gr RN softs for plinking and the box of bullets is cheap to shoot... Mike Welcome aboard..
