Would I need anthing more then a new barrel for a 458 Lott to a 375 H&H...Or shuld I step up to a 375 Weatherby...and will it fit in the Ruger??

it's simply a new barrel and chamber job either way you go. Probably run about $600 if your using a premium quality barrel for the new one


Yes it's cocked, and it has bullets too!!!

Step up to the .375 Weatherby. It will fit the Ruger Magnum action not the standard Ruger action.

I would think your 470 would take care of anything the Lott would do, but it's still a cool caliber nonetheless.

Of course having a 375 H&H or WBY would come in very handy on this side of the pond....

Mike, I have both. In all honesty, I think the H&H round is sufficient for anything a 375 should do and would be my choice. Unless you just want a toy!!! Lee.

If your bolt gun fed the 458 Lotts well, then I'm guessing the feeding rails may now be a bit too wide in places for the 375 H&H. Try feeding the 375's in it and see before sending off for the replacement barrel.

It might work, but I'd be worried.
