I recently posted a topic about having a 404 jeffery built on a controlled feed Win M70 action.I have been thinking over the last couple of days about calibers. Will this action handle the 500 jefery? I have been told that this action will not work,currenlty it is a 7mm Rem mag. Any info would be greatly appreciated,especilally names of gunsmiths willing to do a conversion of this nature.

Yes, you can turn a model 70 into a 500 jeff. But it will probably end up with a 2 shot single stack magazine. Dennis Olson in Montana or Ryan Breeding in California could do it for you.
