Just browsing around for a stock for a Mauser 98 sporter and ran across this stock for the CZ 550. Anyone used one? Significantly less expensive than the factory option from CZ (made by HS Precision, I believe??) and available in multiple paint options.

Brandon,
I have not used one on a CZ platform but I have had one on a Winchester M70 for over 15 years. Back in the 80's BC stocks were considered cheap and basically on the bottom of the stock heap, but in the 90's they made some very good changes in their product and they are a good stock these days. They can run heavier than some other stocks, they have Kevlar models now, but they are strong and I personally like their fuller grip, works well for me. I would not hesitate to put one on your CZ 550.

FFemtRN5287:

Thank you sir!

Looks just like a CZ Kevlar/Aramid for about half the price CZ-USA has been getting.
Bell & Carlson has been making them for CZ-USA all along.

It's about time that B&C started selling them directly to public. tu2

Paint job (YOUR CHOICE!) seems to be the only difference.

I will order one and see for sure.

dirklawyer is referring to the oldest original "Carbelite" stocks from B&C, as opposed to the latest "Medalist" style which is subject of OP:

Well that is awesome news. Might have to pick one up for my Lott now to match my 375. Wish they did this last year!

They are great stocks, I bought 4 rifles with these stocks from the factory for our guides in Burkina.

The one I ordered on 4-2-16 just arrived today.
$271.99 + $15.00 S&H = $286.99 and 5-days from order to in my hands.

And I got the #97 color, olive green with black web.
Looks like another "Predator" is in the works.

Saves almost $200 over ordering same stock from CZ-USA.
And many color schemes to choose from B&C direct order, instead of the "Model-T" color philosohy of CZ-USA:
"Any color you want as long it is the one and only color scheme that we stock, an almost black, charcoal gray with a lighter gray webbing."

This stock fits me better than any other factory stock, and it is stronger than any other, pretty as I please, weighs 2 lbs 6 ounces,
palm-swell grip, 1" Decelerator pad, about 14-1/8" LOP, full aluminum endoskeleton from tip to grip.

Did I say thanks to OP FFemtRN5287 for telling us about this?
