Ok, this may be a looking for trouble fishing trip, here. I am ashamed to say I have never owned a rifle chambered in God's own 375 H&H. I got crazy a few years ago and went 375RUM, not that it isn't a fine cartridge. After several African trips, and delvng more deeply into the old books, I need an H&H to complement the 416 Rigby and 470 Nitro to round out my African battery . Without breaking the budget, I might add. I'm close to getting one of those new Winchester Safari Express in 375. Only around $1000, and good quality from everything I read. But there are these older FN High Power Safaris built on FN Supreme mauser actions that can be had for a few hundred more. As long as the salt problems are not there. What would you guys buy to mess with, collect, even hunt with a bit? The Winchester is what it is, solid. The Browning has that something extra. Any thoughts will be appreciated, and most even considered. Thanks for your thoughts.

I have 375 H&Hs in a Winchester Classic and a Browning Safari FN long extractor (1965 pre salt)and there is really no comparison. The Browning is better finished rifle, light and trim, handles much better, etc in my opinion. If you find a Browning FN LE for only a few hundred more I would go that route.
