At the 2009 SCI convention, a MAUSER built in 2008 by Sauer and Blaser in 416 Rigby was displayed with the MAUSER BANNER on the ring action. Terry Wieland reports that that Blaser converted some of its manufacturing capacity to produce a gebnuine 98 Mauser action.

They've been making them for sometime now, they just advertise the Blazer and the M04(?) more.

And Blaser does not make the action.
Gottfried Prechtl of Golmatic does.
Same action used in Johannsen rifles.
Johannsen finishes their rifles up finer than SIG/Blaser.

Oh, I almost forgot,
DRG says: "Kiss my liberal grits!"

I handled one and they are nice, but not worth $ 9-10,000 in my opinion.

there are too many really well built 416 Rigbys for sale at about one-third of that price to get my money. Starting with a Custom Shop CZ, and moving to $3995 for an AHR full custom on a CZ.
