HT, you would be amazed to know the number of fine double rifles I have bought, cheaply, over the years, because the owner thought they were damaged, because they did not know how to make them shoot properly! The key to doubles is find a good load for the soft, and ANOTHER load for the solid you want to use! Once these loads are determined, load about 100 rds of the softs, and 60 rounds of the solids,in new brass and put them away, then just hunt! Write down the loads exactly and keep it in the case with the rifle, and when, or if you sell the rifle, save the new guy a lot of money, and effort by giveing him the load recipe with the rifle!

HT, Good hunting! You are right to forget about the Kentucky Windage and to go with what shoots to center. jim
