I've read about this caliber and I was intrested in it but I was unable to find an A-Square dealer and does it really move a 200grain bullet 3600 fps?Or will I have better luck buying a 35mm Oerlikon automatic cannon????

That's an A-Square cartridge, and the last time I saw anything about A-Square, it wasn't good. Seems they're out of business. I don't know if anyone picked up their ammo production or not. shooting a bullet with that weight and speed would kick worse than you could imagine, and probably eat barrels quicker than a 30-378.

I can talk about this one. I have an A-Square rifle in 338 Exc and I love it. I have not shoot any 200gr bullets through it so I can not comment on the 3600fps but I can say the 250gr bullets will push 3200fps with out any problems.

A-Square is back up and running right now and should be fully operational in another 60 days. The last I heard is Art is only consulting on the technical side and someone else is running the show. Before you go off and buy an A-Square rifle I would recommend shooting one first. From what I have seen there are only 2 camps on this one either you hate the stock or you love it. From friends of mine it is split about 50/50. I personally love the stock and I am planning on picking up a few more. If you have any other questions about the round please feel free to e-mail me.

Actually there has been talk of A-Square launching back into business sometime later this year. As for the quoted ballistics 3500 with a 200grn is a bit closer to what data I have seen on it. Thier 300 Pegasus will launch a 180grn at 3300fps, and thats the smallest cartridge they make.
Brass is available from Quality Cartridge
