MJinesJeffe, you were right on, the .470 NE spread is 1.5" center to center, the .416 Rigby spread is .9" center to center. And with my novice handloads.
Rusty, I would not foist such a weapon on anyone, not until I can work out the kinks and get the thing shooting right.

George, I have heard about the Woodleighs being soft. May need to check out the Swifts.
