Saturday the 31st of July, the Phoenix Chapter had a big bore shoot inside at the Scottsdale Gun Club. It was a success as far as we can tell, Granite Mountain Arms brought about a dozen rifles from .375HH all the way up to the fierce .585GMA. A local collector brought out 6 of his own doubles including a .577 Searcy.

Our own Scottyboy and 458Lottfann shot the .585GMA and both handled it like men. I had seen the videos of Saeeds .577 Trex being shot and I can honestly tell you niether gentlemen flinched, yelled, cried or dropped the rifle. As a matter of fact they both nearly shot the center out of the target.

We had a clostest to the bull pot payout winner was .24 from center open sighted .375HH on sticks at 67 feet (range max)

A real nice event, we had 56 people participate and we raffled of a .45ACP I forget which brand, I was out on the range all day.

Thanks to;

Granite Mountain Arms
Superior Ammuntion
Scottsdale Gun Club
Phoenix Chapter SCI B.O.D.

Steve

Well done boys!!!

Thanks to the PHX chapter for the great Big Bore shoot!! It was well worth the quick drive up for the day..

A LOVELY Charles Osbourne 450/400 3 1/4, a wonderful Spanish double in 500NE, a Searcy in .577NE, a GMA in 505 Gibbs and 500 Jeffery were all FUN to shoot!! I've gotta say though, the Osbourne won me over more than any of the others.. What a nice, functional piece of art.

I can't wait for next year's shoot. It was a BLAST!

I stopped by to meet the SCI Phx guys!

I am running an outdoor big bore shoot in Phoenix on 31-Oct, at PRGC in south phoenix, still working on the targets, mostly full or 1/2 size african game animals, about 10 or 15 shots fired. It will be open to all!
