Jim,

I have found that using Wipe Out has been a real help with the ease of cleaning.

At the range, when I clean after 5 or 10 rounds, I use the Shooter's Choice and brass brush. I scrub about 10 strokes, re-wet the brush and 10 more. I patch out the bore and then put in the Wipe out while I shoot other guns. When I get back to it, I patch it out, and it's as clean as when I brought it to the range. Wipe out is not just for over night cleanings. I also found that by adding a surgical tube to the spout, helps with geting the solution in the big bores very nicely. I also treat my barrels with 'Tetra Gun L' which helps reduce fouling.

I have found that it is best to start out with a pristine barrel and not shoot more that 10 rounds before I clean. A difference that I also saw was, the other guys on our hunt used the A-Frames and had bad copper fouling very quickly. I was using North Forks which are also known for less fouling due to less copper contact in the barrel. I whole heartedly recommend that you try them.

In fact, I owe you for all of the information that you gave me before we went over. I will be glad to send you a box of the .375 300 gr. bullets to try if you like. I am now working on a 250 gr. load for my .375 which will be for Leopard and am not in need of the .300 gr bullets at this time. Let me know.

Cheers,

Sam

I personally use Montana Extreme for powder residue, and Barnes CR10 for copper removal. Doesnt get much stronger than Barnes CR10!! Dont leave in barrel for more than 15 mins. Nylon brush, with a patch wrapped around it.

Good combo, for me...sakofan..
