I use 70 grs of RL-15 with a 300 gr. Woodleigh for 2585 FPS in my .375 H&H Mauser...That is near max in my gun..and over max in some guns...

70 grs. of IMR-4064 always gives me great accuracy and plenty of velocity with 270 and 300 gr. bullets.

I use WW brass and Fed 215 primers.

In my Ruger RSM I'm getting good performance with 67 to 68 grains of IMR-4064 and the 300gr Hornady RN and standard primers in W-W cases. Obviously you're using a Woodleigh, so use the usual precautions and work up, but I've been happy with this loading and am getting nice groups from it at 2500fps.

I have some 300 gr Woodleigh bullets to load for my 375 H&H Win Model 70. I also have some 300 gr Speer AGS softs to load for the same rifle. These are expensive bullets and would like some load data help so I don't have to do too many test loads to get a good accurate load. I would guess either RL15 (65 - 69 gr) or some IMR 4064 in about the same weight would be a start point. What do you recommend for a good accurate load for these bullets? I use either CCI250 or WLRM primers.

With 300grs bullets in 375 H&H I have always used Norma 204. Gives the highest speed and a nice pressure curve.

I usually start at about 77 and work up to 79-80 to duplicate factory pressure. From what I know RE 19 is basically the same powder as Norma 204 and I guess they are pretty interchangeable.

You can usually reach 2600f/s maybe 2630 without having excessive pressure.

I just set up a friend for a buff hunt in Tanzania last week. 77grs of 204 behind a 300grs Northfork soft and 78grs behind a 300grs Hor FMJ RN. Then they shot to the same point of impact at 100meters and practically duplicated each others velocity.
