Gentlemen I also posted this i Reloading, but they are to slow

I would like to know what the thread size the new RCBS RC press has when you unscrew the 7/8"-14 thread ?
I hope that it is 1 1/4"-12 thread so it fits my die set from Triebel.
I will receive my press in two days if I am lucky.

Cheers,

Andr

Andre,

I am not certain, but if I recall correctly it is 1.25 X 12 TPI.

The dies and presses are 7/8 x14 and take out the ring and it converts to 1-1/2 x 12 for cartridges like the 50 BMG round....

I suspect you must have the RCBS Ammomaster, a fantastic press...

I "have" the The Rock Chucker Supreme press (My son is bringing it from the US on Friday)

From the RCBS web-site:
"The Rock Chucker Supreme was created with todays longer cartridges in mind. The window opening has been increased to over 4 to accommodate large magnum cartridges."

It does however not tell you what size the tread is when you take the 7/8"-14 thread out.

I hope that AC is right.

Cheers,

Andr

It is for my Triebel die set for my .500 Jeffery. The thread on that die set is 1 1/4"-12 thread.
I will be loading some 370 grn Impala bullets shortly if I can get a trimmer for the cartridges

Cheers,

Andr

I just bought one one those presses for my 550 Magnum dies which are 1" dies and the bushing I had to get was 1 1/4 x 12 if memory serves me correctly. I had a little bur at the bottom of the threads so the bushing would not bottom out so it just let the dies bottom out like normal. If you have a bur there also you will have to remove it to be able to screw the dies in. You will need a 1 1/2 wench to remove the factory bushing.

Thank you

I think that it is rather nice that Triebel makes their bigger dies to fit the natural thread of the press.

Andr,
I had a look at Triebels page but did not find Triebel dies? Did you order them? As I will shortly need .500 Jeff dies, Triebel sounds like a good idea.

Her is the link to the shop with the Dies.

The .500 Jeffery cost less then from RCBS

UPS I did not se the price. I did not pay that price. Call them and talk to them That is what I did. Payed around 230 Euro for a set and got the shell holder from RCBS $ 16
