Im thinking of getting one of these in 375, they come with the 99 long action ( nice option for lefties). Since it's a long action anyway whould you bother with the 375 ruger or go with the 375 H&H ?

$1750 for a semi-custom rifle. Not bad.

The Montana Rifle Co (MRC) long action is longer than the comparable M70 action and fits the 375 H&H as-is.

I have a left handed, stainless, short action from the original run (Serial number 0004) and had it chambered in 6.5x284 because of the extra length.

I purchased one in 458 Lott, about 1 month ago. Still unfired, Mother and MIL are both quite ill right now, so no time.

I too would get the H&H because it is easier to find ammo (yes the airlines did lose my ammo, but delivered my rifle). Plus you could easily move up to the 375 bee if you wish.

A short report on my rifle. I like the screw adjustable Marbles sights that are on the rifle. Not the new style with the plunger. When I broke it down for cleaning they had left a lot of Kevlar crumbs inside. They had worked their way onto the trigger and bolt surfaces. I cleaned it up with a vacuum and rag, hopefully it will not return. If it does I will skim coat with Devcon or epoxy.

Rifle was built as described on the Montana website. Purchased for just a bit under $1450 delivered.

Weight with steel mounts 7# 15oz.
Add Fastfire 3 and 3 rounds 8# 6 1/4 oz.

It is gonna kick. I suspect the 375 will also be light. Easy to carry, but a stiff kicker on the bench.

Sorry I cannot help more.

I have the Alaskan in 375 ruger and Kirk the cartridge, but am tinkering with the gun and want a replacement.

I'm left handed and stumbled across these guns. I bought a 7mm that hasn't arrived and thought, may as well get a 375 then have 2 systems the same. Hopefully I like the seven.

Since it's a long action anyway it seems like a waste to chamber it in something shorter so I think the h&h will get the nod

As above.

If you rechamber to 375 Wby then the case capacity will be larger than the 375 Ruger, if you feel the need for a bit more velocity than the H&H.

Personally, unless an action won't take the longer H&H I simply can't see any reason to get the 375 Ruger.
