I don't have the websites handy but you could go on to Google.com for these suppliers: Rimrock Gunstocks, Heritage Walnut, Preslik's, Jim Turner, Wineland Walnut, Don Cantwell, Richard's Microfit, Great American Gunstock, Chiron (Turkish), Claro Walnut Gunstock Company, Paul Dressel, etc. Many of these are advertised in Rifle Magazine and many of them are located around Chico, California. I've bought some super blanks from Jim Turner, Rimrock, and Preslik at very reasonable prices. There's lots of other wood suppliers too. There's lots of good stockmakers too. You might check with the American Custom Gun Guild for a stockmaker in your area. [ 11-03-2002, 18:14: Message edited by: fla3006 ]

Mike, Contact Stephen Heilmann in Grass Valley California. I purchased three blanks from him earlier this year and all three are perfection. His website has some representative examples of what he has. I told him exactly what I was looking for, according to his proprietary grading sytem, and he emailed me pics of about 40 bastogne and english walnut blanks. His website is: www.metalandwood.com Also: www.bestwalnut.com [ 11-04-2002, 00:19: Message edited by: DavidReed ]

Mike, I can recommend two local craftsmen. Both live close to me here in Montana, one is a gunsmith and the other is Ernie Paulson (also advertised in Rifle and Handloader magazines). I can give you the information of the gunsmith and Paulson's info. Let me know by email.
