Hi, I sent my CZ 550 in 500 Jeffery to Wayne at AHR for some final finishing touches (a bit of work on the feed ramp, bigger brighter HiVis front sight and trigger adjustment) and he did wonderful work as always. Wayne and Ed had already done their CZ #1 upgrade to it when it was a little 375 H&H several years ago. It now passes my feeding/extraction test (fill the magazine with 3 dummy rounds and rapidly feed and eject all three 100 times).

Thanks again,

Chuck

Regards,

Chuck

Thanks Rich, I really like the balance and it shoots lights out. Now I just need to work on shooting it at real game. Elk this fall, maybe a buffalo too ...

Thats a CZ custom shop stock with their high gloss oil finish option. Wayne at AHR put on the 3 Pos M70 type safety, their match trigger, filled and straighted the bolt, a bigger brighter HiVis Orange front sight and did some work on the feeding for me. Originally it was a 375 H&H but I had Harlan at the CZ Custom shop rebarrel it to 500 Jeffery for me. It has a 1 in 10" twist 24" McGowen barrel.

It should be hell on elk and deer this fall lol ...

Well under an inch center to center at 100 yards with 570g TSX's moving along at 2300 fps. About .75" average. As to recoil I use a lead sled from the bench. Offhand it's no problem shooting a box 20 with just a T-Shirt on ... I did have Harlan put two mercury recoil reducers in it. The balance is just right now, at least for me.
