450 marlin in the new BFR Login/Join

I got the new catalog from Magnum research yesterday and besides a stronger cylinder it is now chambered for the 450 marlin that should be quite a hand full. I wonder if they will make extra cylinders for custom wildcats like the 458 American x2" or any of the shorter ones 1.4,1.5,1.6 and that also opens up the possibility of a 45-70 or 450 marlin case opened up the 475. I guess you could get the 1.4, 1.6, or make a 2.0-2.1" linebaugh in 475 or 500. If you necked up the 45-70 to 475 you should be able to shoot the 480 Ruger in the same cylinder since the 480 Ruger is made from the 45-70 case dimensions. Any of these guns should be capable of extreme pain on both ends. RNS

I have a BFR in .45-70 with a 10" barrel. I find the recoil somewhat disappointing, being spoiled by my Ruger Super Redhawk in .454 Casull.

I'm working up a handload in .45-70 in an attempt to feel something, but factory .45-70 is just pathetic in the BFR. It sure looks impressive when you take it out of the box, though.

Are you saying that there is very little felt recoil? How are you going to go about developing a load? RNS
