Food for thought, read this post over in the Wildcat section: Not really a New Wildcat, But What a Case!

John-if I was into shorter cases you can guess what I would do with it.It has a thick base so it is easy to belt.I would make .550 cal straight belted case.If I had case here I could have one done in couple hours.Using Chey-tac brass would end up with case about 3.12 long.Ed.

Now for you folks who want a case without a belt, you could still easily build a 550 cal, by straightening the sides so shoulder is .620 up from .600. Base is .633 already. You would have a decent taper to sides and a .050 shoulder to neck difference.Neck would be .670 with .550 bullet. This caliber would be the hairyest ultimate wildcat on the Chey-tac case.Ed.

Once we have a good supply of 600 OK cases, I plan to build everything from a .338/600OK to a 585 /600 OK on that case!-Rob
